We tell our Mad Hatter family all the time that yes, we really do live Disney. We have stayed at nearly all of the resorts and have experienced the good, the bad, and even the ugly from time to time. We always enjoy our time at Port Orleans French Quarter resort, however.
Disney describes this resort as a place with cobblestone streets, gas lamps, wrought-iron balconies and fragrant magnolia blossoms that evoke the Antebellum era with colorful Mardi Gras characters and jazz to keep things lively. We have found this to be the case, and we love the details that make this moderate level resort so lovely.
The pools are amazing- so many fun things to see and do both in and out of the water!

One of our favorite things to do is to take a ferry directly to Disney Springs.

With a jazz club, horse-drawn carriage rides (for a fee), hot tubs, pools, and more- Port Orleans French Quarter is a very romantic getaway! ©Moffits:Mad Hatter Adventures
In particular, if you are looking to get away from it all with your significant other, this can be one of the most romantic resorts at Walt Disney World.
