Talking Skull Returns to Pirate’s of the Caribbean After 11 Years….

by Rhonda Moffit, Moffits-Mad Hatter Adventures    June 22, 2017

An old, familiar….er….face has returned to Pirates of the Caribbean at the Magic Kingdom in the Walt Disney World Resort. It’s new purpose? To mask the brand new on-ride photo that has recently been installed. And they say dead men tell no tales!

The skull was removed during the refurbishment in 2006 (the one in which Jack Sparrow and Captain Barbossa were added to the attraction, among other things). The skull speaks for a moment and a flash occurs from his eyes timed to the sound of thunder. It is not the original dialogue, but it is interesting to see his return nonetheless.
